This person will be responsible for improving the financial lives of our fire family by leading the Payments team to ensure they have the knowledge and tools to support our members.Typical responsibilities:Train, coach, mentor, and performance manage Card Services, Automated Settlement/ACH, and Payments staff.Plans, directs, and coordinates all functions of Payment Operations.Overseeing ACH Origination, Share draft and Wire processing and reconciliation.Managing Remote Deposit Capture, Zelle, external loan payments and all real time payments.Analyzes performance metrics to make recommendations to improve operations and member experience while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and other regulations to maintain the safety and soundness of the credit union.Research and respond to member inquiries.Providing overrides, fee reversal/waiver approvals, and handling escalations of member issues/concerns.Remain informed with changes relating to payment solutions and provide recommendations to enhance the member experience.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) CertificationExperience in a branch office or in payment services at a financial institution.Experience supervising or managing employees.Firefighters First Federal Credit Union is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
