Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) provides financial services to 21 million retail bank households and three million small business customers through approximately 4,900 retail branches, 17 customer service centers, and approximately 13,000 ATMs in 36 states and the District of Columbia.

CSBB Diverse Customer Segments (DCS) leads CSBB’s strategy to diverse consumer segments, focusing on understanding the needs of diverse markets and leveraging customer feedback, data, analytics, and insights to guide strategies.

CSBB DCS works to bridge gaps by bringing Wells Fargo’s full set of resources to the diverse communities that Wells Fargo serves.

The team includes the Strategic Planning, Enterprise Strategic Diverse Initiatives, Small Business, Mass Market, and Affluent/Emerging Affluent diverse segments teams.

The Diverse Customer Segments
– Mass Market Strategy Consultant will lead work to understand the needs of Asian, Hispanic, and African American populations across the mass market segment.

This leader will work to provide diverse customers access to all physical and virtual banking channels, ideate and support creation of relevant products and services.

They will leverage data/analytics to understand penetration and attrition rates of these segments and the rationale for attrition.

Additionally, they will work to identify target audiences and collaborate across business lines to bring the totality of Wells Fargo’s resources to our customers, and prospects.This consultant will be responsible for driving retention focused strategies to increase penetration of our diverse customer base specific to Asian, African American, Hispanic, LGBTQ, and Persons with disabilities.

Leverage and expand upon existing internal programs that support the diverse mass market segment.

Identify the product needs and resources to ensure they meet the needs of our diverse segments.

Work in conjunction with marketing and channel partners in development of products, tools and services.

While working to become the bank of choice for the mass market.

The Candidate

This consultant must have strong understanding of the internal groups within the consumer and small business banking organization, its business drivers, processes, be an effective influencer that has credibility with business leaders, and able to offer credible challenge as needed.

Successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership capability and will have strong interpersonal effectiveness.

Leadership, relationship management, and credibility will be determining factors in selection.

Salary range is determined by the location of the job The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule:

Required Qualifications
10+ years of strategic planning experience
Other Desired Qualifications 10+ years of retail banking experience, financial services experience, or a combination of both 8+ years of experience delivering analytic, strategy execution or customer operations value in a line of business or function Extensive knowledge of Retail Banking & Financial Services business lines, products and services Extensive experience in customer retention strategies Experience leading customer segment strategies Strategy and implementation experience Strong risk management and compliance knowledge Must have strong relationship management and proven leadership skills, with solid conflict management, negotiation and organizational effectiveness techniques Ability to communicate powerfully and prolifically to senior and executive leaders and simplify the complex Ability to influence without direct authority, create and manage (while achieving results) large-scale change and influence people at all levels of the organization Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong credible relationships with key stakeholder groups including executive management, regulatory examiners and internal auditors Execution oriented, professional demeanor, self-starter behavior and able to recognize opportunities for improvement in the business and to act on those opportunities.
