The Assistant Stage Manager for Shows and Atmosphere will assist in the daily operation of the shows and atmosphere product at the Disneyland Resort.
Your responsibilities will range from being part of a running crew on a stage show to being an assistant to our many atmosphere shows performing during the day.The starting pay rate for this position is $19.00 per hour.Responsibilities : You will work under the direction and guidance of a salaried Entertainment Stage Manager (Production Stage Manager) perform daily operational duties to support stage productions, shows, atmosphere shows, spectaculars, events and festivals.
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Manage the backstage and onstage areas during technical rehearsals and showsMaintain smooth, calm operation and logistics of rehearsals and shows Calling cues for rehearsals and shows Facilitating communication between Production, Cast and CrewPerform daily setup and cleaning, assist in the maintenance of stage presets, provide clear communication between calling SM and the crew during rehearsals and performances.Basic Qualifications : Have Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager or Production Assistant experience in a theatrical environmentAbility to work successfully as an individual contributor and in a team environmentAbility to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidaysAbility to remain calm and organized during high-stress situations.Well organized, adaptable, and proactiveDemonstrate ability to be a problem solverDemonstrate relationship and team building skillsDemonstrate strong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate leadership skillsDemonstrate computer skills and understanding of current technology.Demonstrate ability to take initiativeWork in a safe, efficient and organized mannerPositive attitude and the ability to work in a collaborative mannerUnderstand how to ” Manage in the gray” and be able to make quick and decisive decisions when necessaryUphold the standards of Disney EntertainmentPreferred Qualifications: BA/BFA in Technical Theater or other related course of studyRequired Education : High school degree or equivalent.Preferred Education : BA/BFA in Theater or other related course of study.Additional Information : SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am.
