Senior Project Manager

Data and Intelligence – Performance Intelligence /

Edelman is seeking a savvy and nimble Senior Project Manager to join the PayPal team in our LA office (remote optional).

As a senior representative of our Delivery group, the Sr.

PM will work with specifically with the DxI (Data Intelligence that includes Measurement/Analytics/Paid) Team, the Client Team and Specialty Leads to provide structure and vision for work across our PayPal book of business.

Overall, our Delivery group defines the scope and budget, key milestones, timelines, and deliverables for a diverse set of project types.

We are responsible for ensuring that project deliverables connect with creative intent, meet time specifications and quality goals.

The Delivery team may support campaigns like:

Integrated Campaign Planning – Working with Microsoft to build multi-channel marketing programs

Paid Media Campaigns – Magnifying Microsoft work through Paid Campaigns on social platforms

Analytics – Support Analytics Specialists as they develop automated reporting capabilities

Content Production – web content, branded content, print collateral

Key Responsibilities
Partner with the VP of Delivery on PayPal on organizational best practices and team management to drive client initiatives ensuring on time delivery, oftentimes including change control.

Independent thinker that strives to create and evolve organization and process keeping in mind the team’s changing needs and integration points with the overall PayPal PMO goals.

Create reusable project management tools or enhance existing ones and processes (for example the CPT project estimating / resourcing spreadsheet used by DxI) Become proficient in the Edelman tools of choice (for example: SmartSheets for project scheduling, tracking and other spreadsheet functions / PSA a new global resourcing tool / GFS timesheet, vendor management and budget/expense tool) Set up and track the DxI Program for project pipeline visibility, scheduling of team personnel and resource forecasting across multiple DxI workstreams Manages new project request/intake process Works with DxI teams and Account/PM Leads to assess and develop scopes of work, budgets and timelines with oversight from the VP of Delivery.

Creates and manages project timelines, status and resourcing across multiple workstreams Owns and manages DxI level of effort across projects and inputs into the PayPal Master Staff/Resourcing Plan Ensures teams are correctly completing timesheets And therefore, accurately track burn weekly and overall, by project + people (monitoring individual’s workload and early warnings for burnout) Identifies potential resourcing needs and conflicts, initiates resourcing request with Resource Management + DxI Leads Works with Client Lead to manage service levels and navigate change accordingly Values and advocates the importance of team communication Making oneself accessible through various channels of communication such as Teams, email, phone, etc.

Facilitates project onboarding for DxI personel to assigned to projects Communicates project status and important information to DxI stakeholder groups Provide clear and regular updates to Account/PM Leads on any timeline, dependencies, delays, potential bottlenecks, etc.

Qualifications and Competencies:
This role requires at least six years of project management experience, managing teams of various disciplines and various 3rd party vendors.

The ability to multi-task, work with several functional roles, and overall maintain efficiency in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Should be able to articulate workflow, timing, and pricing strategies to a variety of stakeholder groups, including clients.

Experience facilitating collaboration between organizational disciplines.

Operational knowledge of digital marketing and communications strategy, design, and development/production deliverables.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to take initiative and exemplify a “get things done” mentality without handholding.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

Experience with Project management software a plus, particularly Smartsheets.
