Director Sales

Accountable for sales management related to the marketing of organization’s products or services for a team of individual contributors positioning and selling the full line of ACI products and services into the Omni-Commerce, Payments, eCommerce or Fraud verticals.

Accountable for performance in selling software, solutions, outcomes, support, training and professional services across a variety of industry and geographically disbursed territory.

Incumbent’s primary duty is managing individual contributors, but generally operates at a more senior level than manager level incumbents and may manage through subordinates.

Job Responsibilities: Motivates, measures performance, monitors activities and the like for assigned sales employees, ensuring they have all tools necessary to successfully sell products and services.

Provides training and expertise to the sales organization to develop the pipeline and close new business.

Builds, leads and develops an engaged and high performing team by ensuring the needed performance management, training and development opportunities are implemented.

Drives and executes against initiatives and strategies to deliver or exceed achievement of key team objectives such as sales, revenue, expense, and margin.

Takes a leadership role and coaches team to develop and maintain C-Level and Executive relationships with current and prospective clients.

Manages margin/profitability targets and ensures that sales forecasts are consistent with the operating plan and annual budget.

Provides strategic and operational direction and plans for sales quota and revenue attainment.

Ensures appropriate pricing strategies and plans for each product.

Partners with sales management on the development and evaluation of corporate sales objectives, plans and strategies to promote the success and increase profitable sales and business relationships.

Partners with channel marketing team in the definition of market opportunity for all existing and new revenue opportunities.

Defines the optimal customer management “model” to manage key accounts and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction while optimizing specific client opportunities.

Works with Global/Region FP&A to ensure P&L’s are built for all key accounts.

Escalates issues that may impact customer loyalty and satisfaction such as product deficiencies, service and delivery issues in accordance with Company practice.

Ensures the execution of ACI’s Sales Best Practices.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

5 years successful sales management position.

10 years successful direct sales experience in “financial payments” – highly desired merchant, omni commerce, payments, eCommerce or fraud verticals.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed for the job: Proven success in recruiting, training, developing, and retaining top sales talent.
