Director of Trade Marketing

Trade Marketing Associate-Riboli Family Wines

This position is responsible for supporting all trade and shopper marketing initiatives for one of the top wine portfolios in America. This collaborative and highly organized team member will be working closely with cross-functional teams to develop retail-level tools for all brands within the portfolio. The Trade Marketing Associate will strategically analyze campaign effectiveness, while also providing recommendations to improve sales and in-store execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCurrent duties may be changed if the job requires and/or additional duties may be assigned if necessary.

  • Work with the Trade Marketing Director, Brand Managers, and Media Director to optimize shopper marketing campaigns.
  • Participate in regular strategy and trade team meetings, contributing creative ideas to improve sales and in-store display tactics.
  • Leverage historical data to develop competitive programs for coupons and rebates.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand both retail needs and opportunities for consumer engagement.
  • Assist with internal and external stakeholders to organize selling tools to support brand education and growth.
  • Measure and report the performance of trade marketing activities, providing actionable insights for continual improvement in execution.
  • Actively work with third-party vendors to fulfill and maintain all trade-related tools.
  • Create engaging newsletters with relevant updates, marketing initiatives, and insights to be shared with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Team to manage and organize brand-related assets on Brand folder.
  • Manage invoices, meticulously tracking them against relevant budgets.
  • Maintain and organize trade tools, carefully tracking inventory against usage.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

  • A four-year college degree and/or equivalent work experience enabling the incumbent to perform job responsibilities as required.
  • Experience in wine, spirits, CPG, or retail merchandising preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience with in-store trade marketing.
  • Minimum of 2 years in marketing, direct sales, and/or communications.
  • Eager to learn and contribute to a collaborative team.
  • Highly analytical, able to interpret data for actionable insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain and develop relationships with all types of stakeholders ranging from sales team representatives to agency partners.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, efficiently managing all timelines and projects.
  • Ability to have fluent knowledge of PC, working within Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Asana, and any other company software is critical to the success of this position.
  • Interpretive skills; must possess the ability to define problems, establish facts and collect data to interpret issues, draw valid conclusions from the data and recommend solutions to each business problem. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of statistical information.

While performing the duties of this job, this role will regularly be required to use their hands and eyes for PC use; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. This role is required one to stand; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch; see, taste, and smell wine products in particular. The incumbent must be aware that the job involves the distribution of alcoholic beverages and recognizes that the company in no way encourages excessive or unnecessary drinking of alcoholic beverages while exercising the duties of this job. This role will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time, the approximate weight of a case of wine.

-Must use for business a clean late-model presentable and fully-operationall4-doorr vehicle that reflects professionalism (company auto allowance provided).
