Our client is seeking a Director of Sales for the Midwest U.S.

nThe Director of Sales is directly responsible for profitably building sales volume.

This position prospects for new business and supports current sales volume with existing customers.

The position also manages broker/distributor relationships as needed in their geographic territory.nn nn Qualifications and Requirements: nn Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Science or related field 7+ years’ experience of successful direct sales management, selling food, and ideally dairy/cheese products as an ingredient, to food manufacturers REQUIRED Foodservice, Chain Account, and QSR sales experience REQUiRED Extensive contacts with R&D, Purchasing, and Marketing personnel at major domestic food processors.

Ability to travel 2+ weeks per month Excellent people relationship skills Excellent verbal, analytical, and communication skills Ability to multi task effectively nn Essential Duties and Responsibilities: nn Directly represent company to current and prospective customers effectively visiting these customers on a monthly or quarterly basis as needed via personnel visits, trade shows, plant visits, phone calls, and emails  Build sales volumes in a profitable manner in respective territory Convey technical messages that leverage the company’s unique capabilities and satisfy customer needs Prospect for and uncover new sales opportunities that align with company capabilities Productively manage broker representatives located in geographic territory Develop a strong project pipeline for near, mid-term and long-term sales potential with key accounts and prospects Execute a sales strategy that promotes a balanced product mix and healthy margin management Completes required reports and forms, (i.e.
