Director of Sales

nnWe are looking for a high performing Director of Sales to lead and expand our growing advertising sales operation in Southern California with Los Angeles Magazine, Orange Coast Magazine, and Pasadena Magazine.

The responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans.

We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of digital, print advertising, and event sponsorships with proven leadership and organizational qualities that inspire and motivate their sales team.nn nn nn nnThe ideal candidate will be a results-driven sales team leader with a competitive spirit and a track record of developing and securing new business to meet company goals.

This position will report directly to the president/publisher and offers competitive pay plus incentives tied to your performance.nn nn n nn nn Responsibilities nn Grow and maintain your own book of key accounts while also leading our team of Integrated Account Directors in offering a full suite of magazines, digital marketing and event sponsorships.

Design and execute the sales plan for the team and have ultimate accountability for the team’s performance.

Utilize the company CRM system to manage the prospect marketing and sales development process.

Provide sales coaching and training to ensure team growth goals are achieved.

Effectively develop relationships with clients, decision-makers, and agencies.

Provide superior service that ensures excellent client retention.

Know your numbers and be process-oriented when it comes to sales fulfillment.

Keep abreast of the continually evolving advertising marketplace, customers, and competition in order to conceive and effectively execute a sales strategy that generates leads and drives results.

Be active in the markets we serve and represent the company in the local business community.

nn nn nn Skills & Qualifications nn Bachelor’s degree preferred 5 years of advertising sales with 2 years of sales management experience Master-level CRM utilization to track sales team performance and pipeline opportunities Deep knowledge of the digital/social media landscape Proven experience in prospecting new clients, generating leads, and closing the sale Consistent track record of achievement and leading a team in increasing sales revenue and profitability across multiple products and offerings Self-starter; ability to work independently, but also fit into a strong team environment Strong project management skills with proven abilities in managing multiple schedules and deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous working environment nn Application Process: nn nnIf you are a qualified candidate and interested in this position, we encourage you to apply.
