Director of Program Management, Research

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in interactive entertainment.
  • Experience with the media industry (games, movies, TV or music), it’s different players and value chains.
  • Experience working and shipping projects with different production interdisciplinary requirements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with all actors involved in a mainstream interactive product lifecycle: creatives, tech, production, marketing, PR, sales, and business development.
  • Experience and commitment to managing, developing, growing, recruiting and inspiring a representative, equitable, respectful team and workplace
  • Experience working as a key stakeholder (Executive Producer, Creative Director, etc.) on interactive brands, products, formats, and platforms.
  • Understanding of AI and ML technologies and their applicability to different production and business problems.
  • Founded a company, new studio, or business unit with limited resources.
  • Demonstrated passion for technology and emerging/early stage products.

About the job

As a Director of Program Management, Research, you will own the production and co-development across several product agendas including new launches. While efforts will be Research-led, you will thoughtfully build relationships and craft narratives that generate long-term alignment with Google product areas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy, co-development partner selection, and end-to-end execution for new experiences, ensuring marketability and business long-term viability of the various ventures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical teams to establish and deliver on full technology lifecycle roadmaps: R&D, proof of concept, pre-production, production, go-to-market and live operations.
  • Develop relationships with strategic Product Areas within Google ensuring that Research-led experiences increase long-term alignment.
  • Engage in the broader strategy and execution discussions in the Research Product organization, providing input from your program experiences to enhance our priorities across the board.
  • Build a collaborative, high performing cross-functional team, with clarity of purpose, executing against a coherent strategy across all programs and initiatives.
