Director of Nursing

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of the Nursing Program to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and management of our nursing education programs at Southern California Health Institute. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education, administration, and leadership, as well as experience in providing direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Administration: As the Director of the Nursing Program, you will be responsible for coordinating, directing, and overseeing all activities related to the development and operation of the nursing program. This includes fiscal planning, program development, and implementing policies to ensure the program’s success and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Teaching Oversight: You will play a pivotal role in overseeing teaching and academic responsibilities in the program. This includes working closely with faculty and staff to ensure that the curriculum meets educational standards and supports student success.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work collaboratively with hospital administrators, faculty, and external stakeholders to ensure the nursing program remains relevant, innovative, and aligned with industry standards.
  • Program Evaluation & Improvement: Monitor and assess the nursing program’s effectiveness, making data-driven decisions to continuously improve the quality of education provided to students.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • A Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, with coursework in nursing, education, or administration.
  • Administrative Experience:
  • At least one (1) year of experience in an administrative position (e.g., Director or Assistant Director) with validated performance of administrative responsibilities including coordinating, directing, fiscal planning, and managing nursing education programs.
  • Relevant experience can include overseeing registered nursing education programs (such as diploma, associate, baccalaureate, or post-licensure RN programs) or serving as a registered nurse administrator in a hospital professional nursing education services program.
  • An academic year of two (2) semesters or three (3) quarters is considered equivalent to one year of administrative experience.
  • Teaching Experience:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience teaching in pre- or post-licensure registered nursing programs (e.g., associate, baccalaureate, master’s, or doctoral degree nursing programs).
  • Full-time teaching experience is preferred.
  • Clinical Experience:
  • At least one (1) year of continuous, full-time or equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse.
  • Additional Qualifications:
  • Equivalent experience and/or education as determined by the board may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a leadership role in nursing education programs.
  • Strong understanding of nursing education standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
