VaynerCommerce is a Growth Engineering Firm. Initiated in 2018, and officially launched in 2020 as a new type of firm for modern brands to partner with to drive sustainable growth. VaynerCommerce is a digitally native first firm that takes an engineering approach to driving sustainable growth. It was started by former early Shopify Plus employees, and was born from the frustration that brands were left with no good options in the market when it came to building sustainable online customer growth. VaynerCommerce services as a strategic partner, with an implementation arm across data science, engineering, design, financial modeling, media & creative, and merchandising for brands that want to sustainably grow their direct-to-consumer business. What You Will Do:

The Director of Growth role is a true full-stack integrated growth leader who will develop and execute holistic growth strategies for our brand partners. You have a breadth of knowledge, from media attribution modeling to customer journey mapping to customer segmentation and clustering. You are exceptional at prioritizing work, setting expectations and communicating to stakeholders. You are a strong project manager who knows how to motivate the team to push forward. You understand and appreciate the scientific method and also know when to adapt to changes quickly. You love telling a story with data and creating actionable insights. You are a strategic thinker, connecting the dots between data and financial results to create and advocate for your own strategies to drive growth. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach and can juggle multiple responsibilities and excels under pressure. They must also be comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility. You will be responsible for strategically driving the team forward. 

  • Building holistic growth model using our proprietary approach to customer LTV growth, sophisticated customer life-cycle growth models, and tie models to inputs across data, media, creative, engineering, and consumer product development
  • Ability to visualize and clearly communicate complex data analysis for stakeholder key presentations
  • Conducting cross-functional alignment, prioritization, and execution of growth experiments
  • Help design, implement, and optimize growth infrastructure for brands (data, tech, ways of working, media & creative)
  • Overseeing stakeholders leading digital marketing campaign set-up, delivery, performance, testing and reporting across digital and social channels, including Facebook/Instagram, Display, Search, and other marketing platforms
  • Oversee data, identify trends, guide optimizations on a day to day basis across paid marketing channels
  • Manage and track monthly, quarterly and yearly marketing budgets
  • Ensure that marketing campaign funnels and customer/user behavior flows are tracked accurately for reporting and analysis purposes
  • Track and monitor holistic model KPIs through weekly and monthly reports, including how performance is tracking vs. projections
  • Can work with digital product managers and engineering team to prioritize, implement, and optimize growth experiments
  • Can run effective weekly growth meetings with different stakeholders to keep growth organization in rhythm and aligned to key activities 
  • Deliver insights and optimization recommendations across multiple parts of customer journey to identify key growth and optimization opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with the creative team to provide insight to inform creative recommendations
  • Source and identify new marketing opportunities on an always-on basis to support customer acquisition needs
  • Stay on top of industry changes, algorithm updates and their impact on customer funnel

What We’re Looking For:

  • Business & commercialization acumen
  • A combination of systems thinking approach with a scientific methodology
  • Can understand, communicate, and drill down into most important ideas & models across data science, media, performance creative, monetization, and technology
  • 4+ years in a digital marketing or product growth role with a background on direct response, retention, and digital product
  • Can learn and implement financial modeling integrated with growth strategy
  • Hands on experience managing paid social + digital campaigns, preferably Facebook Ads Manager and Google AdWords
  • Expert in excel, can manipulate raw data to draw insights via vlookups, pivot tables etc
  • Experience with audience segmentation and A/B testing to drive learnings and optimizations
  • Experience with google analytics, Shopify, business intelligence and CRM tools preferred
  • Have acute attention to detail and never-ending curiosity
  • Quick learner and a creative problem solver who believes every situation has an optimal solution
  • Persistent and relentless when it comes to achieving personal and professional goals
