MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.*Description*Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e., design, construction, development, and acquisitions)Directly responsible for leading the entitlement, planning, permitting, design review process, and hiring consultantsMust oversee and coordinate public hearings, including variances, amendmentsParticipate and attend meetings with various state, city, and county agencies Able to discuss local planning processes and plans specific to Southern California at a high levelMaintain control and keep track of entitlement processes Use commercial information to strategize action plans in effort to optimize results for the teamMust have a strong understanding of planning and processes with a proven ability to work with regulatory agencies and achieve objectives Ability to oversee and manage complex public and government related policies in addition to negotiation skills Discernable, high-level proficiency of planning and influencing external stakeholdersStrong analytical skills and ability to determine innovative and effective solutionsCapable of building strong business relationships, influencing decisions and strong negotiation skillsSomeone with an eye for detail and ability to drill down into the details of complex problems to find solutionsMust have a relevant bachelor’s degree in business or property – additional credentials are a plus15 years of real estate management experience, such as, planning, entitlement, development, project management, business development, and constructionExperience with LEED certifications and light industrial / tilt up projectsExperience with community engagement and exceptional communication skillsThis client is a leading industrial real estate development and property management firm focused on the Southern California market.
