As a Data Management & Business Intelligence Managing Consultant you will follow a clearly defined career path and continue to deepen your specialized industry knowledge and consulting skills.

As you hone your project management skills, leadership abilities and the aptitude for managing multiple workstreams, you will have the opportunity to progress to the Associate Director level.Qualifications+ Bachelor’s degree+ 5 year directly relevant work experience+ 3 year supervisory or management experience+ Hands-on experience with some or all of the following areas:+ Defining data strategies+ Defining, implementing, and operating a data governance bodies, including typical data governance policies, processes, and standards+ Defining and applying data quality standards, using various data quality tools to profile data for data quality issues, and collaborating with data consumers to remediate data quality issues+ Designing and building relational databases+ Developing strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database+ Working in a data warehouse environment, which includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation+ Translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions+ Defining, designing, and building dimensional databases+ Creating an architecture that supports and advocates self-service business intelligence environments+ Developing data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems+ Working knowledge of data management and data analytics solutions and practices+ Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently+ Ability to be strategic and creative while remaining detail-oriented and process-focused+ Strong written and oral communication skills+ Ability to travel 25%-50% Monday-Thursday+ Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship restrictions apply to this rolePreferred QualificationsIn addition to the above listed:+ Master’s degree or MBA+ 7 years directly relevant work experience+ 5 years supervisory or management experience+ Experience building data visualizations in Tableau or PowerBI+ Experience building databases and knowledge of coding languages including Java, XML, and SQL+ Experience with ETL tools+ Demonstrated technical skills with d ata management tools such as Collibra, Ab Initio, Informatica+ Data Management certification from an industry recognized standards organization+ Relevant industry certifications demonstrating knowledge of data architecture and big data architecture+ Certification(s) in technology use to manage and analyze data+ Familiarity with data standards including one or more of the following: Metadata Definition Data Management Standards (ISO 11179), Taxonomy & Thesaurus Construction (ANSI/NISO z39), Controlled Vocabulary Development and RDF for Ontology Development (W3C standards SKOS)Additional RequirementsThe successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.DisclaimerAbout GuidehouseGuidehouse is an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
