n n nn Remarks: nn nnWe’re seeking a Director of Engineering to lead teams supporting our Sales Efficiency, Finance, and Compliance organizations.
In this role, you’ll use technology to improve the effectiveness of our sales teams, create innovative experiences for our consignors, improve our consignor payouts and ‘after the sale’ experience, and work on exciting new projects!
As TRR scales you’ll tackle the organizational and technical challenges that come with a growing team and business volume.
You will be exposed to the latest technology and a data-driven culture while surrounded by a friendly, helpful team.
Growing the number of consignors and consignments will be your key success metric.

n nThis position is based in San Francisco, CA and will report to the Vice President of Engineering.
n n What You Get To Do Every Day nn Manage a growing organization with 3+ engineering managers and 20+ engineers Mentor and develop your engineers and engineering managers Work the your teams to prioritize and scope engineering investments Lead the technical strategy for our Salesforce instance, partnering with business stakeholders to optimize and increase the value of the platform Create innovative experiences for both internal and external customers, particularly focused around increasing ease of consignment for our customers Partner with product, business, and operations stakeholders on roadmaps, timelines, and technical strategy Partner with senior engineering leadership to set standards, technical vision, and culture Occasionally travel (post COVID) to meet with employees, customers, and stakeholders nn What You Bring To The Role nn 10+ years of experience as an engineer or technologist 4+ years of management experience 2+ years managing engineering managers Experience with Ruby or Elixir Strong understanding of web-app performance fundamentals and related dev tools Strong understanding of distributed systems design Strong database fundamentals and experience with MySQL or Postgresql Bachelor of Computer Science degree or equivalent experience nn Nice to Have nn Prior experience with Salesforce, which powers many consignor-related operations Prior logistics experience, especially reverse logistics Prior two-sided marketplace or e-commerce experience Experience with iOS or Android development Prior experience with business development and sales teams.
