Top performers will be reviewed throughout the program to assess their suitability to join the organization in an established sales territory should such a position arise.nn nnThe primary functional objective of the position is to learn the Biosciences product portfolio, build sales skills, develop business acumen, and successfully complete the training program.

Upon program completion the successful candidate will be prepared to compete for a territory commercial role within the Biosciences commercial organization.

During this time the Biosciences Sales Development Program Account Manager will be responsible for covering vacant positions within our sales organization, supporting our customers and providing the best possible sales representation for Thermo Fisher Scientific.

As an Account Manager in our Biosciences Sales Development Program, you will be using the telephone, email and WebEx as your primary communication tools.

You will also have the opportunity to be trained by, work alongside and support our Biosciences Account Managers.

You will train to have direct contact with customers, foster and maintain relationships, which will ultimately generate sales.nn nn Key responsibilities: nn nnParticipate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns, special projects as presented by the Company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with Company philosophy, policies, and proceduresnn nnRegularly provide written and verbal communication of successes, failures, best practices, to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team, region and sales organizationnn nnIdentify sales opportunities with new and existing customers and successfully manage the sales of Company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plannn nnCo-coordinate sales processes for assigned accounts for an assigned geography in accordance with approved sales and marketing plansnn nnMaintain and increase current customer database through Company customer relation’s management software (Salesforce CRM)nn nnCommunicate with research scientists at all accounts for product information and sales presentationsnn nnCoordinate quotations within Company Guidelines by extending competitive pricing as needed to maintain and increase revenues with guidance from Management and/or Marketingnn nnSupport marketing programs and programs in other territories as assigned by the Sales Managernn nnManage and close sales leads generated by colleagues in Marketing and Technical Supportnn nn Experience/Qualifications/Qualities: nn nnMinimum BS within Life Sciences requirednn nnSome experience from a sales function in relevant industry would be beneficialnn nnExcellent written and verbal communication skillsnn nnStrong capabilities to interact effectively with all customer typesnn nnAbility to function effectively in a high-performance teamnn nnAbility to manage time effectively to prioritize and complete tasks requirednn nnDemonstrate a positive attitude and desire to succeednn nnExhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing business environmentnn nnComputer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar programs requirednn nnWe look forward to receiving your application, including a cover letter and resume.nn nn Thermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate nn nn on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, nn nn protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
