What is HITRECORD?

Founded and led by actor and artist Joseph Gordon-Levitt, HITRECORD is an open online community with the mission to inspire creativity through collaboration. Users don’t just post about themselves and vie for attention; they work together on a variety of art and media projects that they couldn’t have completed on their own.

HITRECORD has won two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Interactive Media and Innovation and was featured globally as App of the Day in Apple’s App Store. About the Role:

To date, all interest from large iconic brands has been primarily inbound, and we are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial executive to lead our outbound content and brand work with a focus on closing deals. The Head of Business Development will access all of HITRECORD’S product capabilities, opportunities and unique value propositions and create a comprehensive content and software product offering and revenue strategy that s/he will then go to market and execute against. Given the large ecosystem of verticals and brands that HITRECORD could impact, this individual will have the opportunity to help build the company’s next stage of growth. This individual may be based anywhere in the US and can work mainly virtually, however, there is preference for LA/SF/NY given adjacency to publisher, creators and brands. This role will include a base salary, full benefits, and commission as appropriate.

  • A proven and passionate innovator in taking consumer technology-powered collaborative video, art, and advertising to market
  • Seamlessly able to work between Fortune 500 companies and the technology startup environment
  • A self-starter who has built things from the ground up and is looking for autonomy
  • Able to tactfully engage with strong points of view at all levels of the organization
