Director, New Business and Partner Success

As Director of New Business and Partner Success for our New Business team, you will lead our efforts to drive usage of our affiliated businesses and strategic partners across the country.

Simply put, we have ambitious revenue goals for our affiliated businesses and strategic partnerships, and we’re looking for a leader who can help us earn the business of our agents and their clients by showing the power of having them all in one place. 

At Compass You Will:

  • Own the New Business team’s strategy and operations focused on driving the utilization of different transaction-related services (title, escrow, mortgage, etc.). 
  • Be responsible for launching new products within our agent community and identifying/optimizing the most effective channels to acquire new agents as customers.
  • Build out the New Business Strategy and Success team as we continue to grow and diversify the org to drive revenue growth of our New Business entities and partnerships. 
  • Act as a trusted partner to our New Business Strategy & Planning, Title & Escrow, Mortgage, Product, Growth, Legal and Operations leaders, driving alignment across a variety of internal functions. 
  • Manage and build scalable operations for Compass New Business, truly a startup within a startup.

    Develop and drive the execution for the company-wide adoption strategy of our services across people, process and technology.

  • Lead and manage a team of strategists and practioners who are expected to lead, structure and execute strategic programs by partnering with the leaders of our New Business team, regional operations teams, our affiliated businesses and our strategic partners to drive usage of our adjacent services and partnerships. 
  • Drive results across all functions in the organization through structured frameworks, data, models and storytelling will be critical in taking strategy into execution.

    You will lead through influence and partnership across all levels of the organization with strong, low-ego leadership and your credibility, executive presence and communication will be critical for success.

  • Bring a unique skillset as a credible business strategist focused on continuously improving operating effectiveness, efficiency and quality. 

What Were Looking For:

  • Experience in building and successfully executing a customer engagement and/or acquisition strategy partnering with field operations teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to think globally/strategically and frame new and complex issues
    – a serious thought leader that can make strategic choices and help focus the organization on the most critical and value-added activities
  • Exceptional analytical and creative problem solving skills, strong ability to work with complex and detailed data to drive action and recommendations
  • Comfortable rapidly switching from a product integration solutioning discussion to facilitating a cross functional meeting to developing a compelling story for an executive audience. 
  • A growth mindset and a bias for action is just how you think and work. 
  • Passion for taking strategy through to execution and driving business results.
  • Ability and desire to be hands on in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, coaching and development skills
  • Ability to influence and manage project outcomes to deliver results
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to drive and execute process creation and analysis
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, to prioritize, and adapt to a changing environment
  • 10+ years of overall work and advanced education experience – MBA preferred
  • Experience in strategy/management consulting and/or growth org of tech or financial sector preferred
