Description

Summary: Reporting to the Vice President, National Accounts, the Director, Key Accounts is responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies and leading a team of strategic sellers (Key Account Executives – KAEs) and account managers (Key Account Managers – KAMs) in an assigned territory.

Candidate can reside in any major metropolitan city in the country, near a major airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed new sales revenue goals through effective management of direct reports and developing strong cross-functional relationships within ARS
  • Drive Base Business Growth, Retention and GP margin expansion within the assigned Key Account portfolio
  • Create and analyze targeted sales objectives, including sales growth, promotional successes and territory goals for the sales force.
  • Hire, train, and develop sales talent, while consistently looking for internal bench strength.
  • Develop higher skill level in the sales force through strong leadership and management abilities, communication and presentation skills and through the ability to identify, influence and affect changes in areas needing improvement.
  • Partner in development and execution of sales and business development strategies in conjunction with the Region(s) Field Sales and Operating leadership teams.
  • Build fair and equitable sales territories utilizing market segmentation and territory revenue potential analysis
  • Help to develop and implement new sales training material, policies and procedures
  • Review, evaluate and modify existing and proposed sales and account management programs
  • Drive strict adherence to sales process and utilization of SFA as a true sales enabler
  • Ability to sell total company value proposition and leverage the strengths of all Sectors

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience leading a regional strategic sales team
  • History and track record of sales target achievement with a regional strategic sales team
  • Proven ability to b uild collaborative relationships with both external clients and internal clients and stakeholders
  • Experience in budget management and compensation planning is required. 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to navigate effectively through the organization, while influencing peer level support to drive sales and support required
  • Exceptional presentation skills and experience presenting to VP and C-level executives.
  • Executive presence and proficiency in consultative selling skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Competitive spirit, strong leadership skills, and a track record of accomplishments required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contact management databases
  • Willing to travel, including some overnight travel
  • A valid driver’s license
