We are looking for a talented Director, Digital Product Design to lead the Fender Digital design team in Hollywood, CA.

This Director will drive the design of digital products and new features within the Fender Digital ecosystem ( Fender.com, Fender Shop, Tune, Tone and Play).

The ideal candidate will be an advocate for the user, UI/UX best practices and design standards.

They are experienced in contributing to every stage of product design and development, from ideation to production to user research to launch.

This person will lead the creative team and will help define requirements, produce UX deliverables and create beautiful, compelling interface designs.

About the Job:
Lead end-to-end product design process: From research and ideation, through collaborative design iteration to shipping polished, results-driven assets.

Manage, hire, retain design team.

Mentor and support team of UI/UX designers.

Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers.

Consistently deliver excellent work while fostering team connectedness and growth.

Maintain standards and consistency of UI/UX across all digital products Push design exploration, R&D and experimentation through rapid prototyping and user testing Foster an inclusive culture where ideation, innovation and creativity are safe to thrive.  Execute against KPIs with the product teams
What You Need:
10+ years of consumer-facing product design experience 7+ years of management experience with a team of 5 or more Strong portfolio showing high-quality, consumer-facing design across native apps and web.

Thought leadership; a strong point of view; ability to drive strategic development of creative ideas and communicate effectively across departments College Degree preferred or the equivalent level of professional experience
Bonus Points:
Experience with music, notation or audio visualization is a plus Experience designing for a digital learning platform is a plus Experience with motion graphics, animation is a plus
