Job Title – Director- Customer Analytics

The Kantar Analytics Practice (KAP) has made significant investments in the last few years to further expand our capabilities and footprint in emerging analytics subject areas such as Data Engineering, Customer Analytics and Digital & Social Media Analytics. The practice has strong client relationships in data-rich verticals such as consumer goods, beverages, retail, insurance, telecom, entertainment, automotive and hospitality, among others. The Customer Analytics team is focussed on helping clients get more insight out of their data. As we strive to offer end-to-end analytics, data engineering and data visualization solutions, we seek a Principal- Customer Analytics with client-facing/onsite experience who is looking for the next step in their analytics career journey.
About the Role:
This is an engagement lead role focused on data science for a key client in entertainment sector. Among others, this role will be responsible for developing creative solutions to optimize content acquisition and for implementing uplift customer lifecycle messaging models. Working in an GCP ecosystem, this role will work closely with the business partners, data engineers, analysts, and the BI team to discover data patterns, build causal models, and build simulation models to help develop a data-driven strategy for content.
This role requires working with a large data science and data engineering team based offshore and collaborating to deliver on key client projects. The right person for this role will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and has collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills.
The candidate is required to carry out various duties, the main ones of which are listed below –
- Be responsible for account delivery to ensure client expectations are met with desired speed & quality. Continuously gather & pass client inputs, perspectives, thinking & feedback to the offshore team.
- Engage with the client stakeholders to understand business problems, ideate & converge on solutions/approaches, and develop analytical solutions.
- Leading account responsibilities, finding opportunities to drive account growth, building client relationships, handling 1st level customer concerns from key stakeholders on client side, doing monthly review meetings with clients.
- Apply supervised machine learning, observational causal inference modelling to understand substitution and content demand, incremental value measurement, and member and non-member preference analyses.
- Collaborate with data engineering team to leverage AWS and GCP services to craft scalable and reliable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, scalability, and performance optimization techniques in the AWS/GCP/Azure environment.
- Work closely with architects, product managers, and other collaborators to understand business requirements and plan milestone release.
CAPABILITIES: To succeed, you will need
- 5-7 years of experience driving business impact through thorough reasoning and analysis.
- Experience in collaborating with clients and ability to provide compelling analytical solutions. Managing client relationships and leading delivery of a large account.
- Skilled at having an impact in sophisticated or ambiguous problem spaces that cannot be empirically proven and require blending data and scientific methods with judgment-based approaches.
- Proven ability to work optimally and positively with others, excellent interpersonal skills Highly articulate and an excellent communicator, with strong influencing skills
- Experience in applied data analysis, including A/B testing and observational causal inference methods
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, scalability, and performance optimization techniques in the AWS/GCP/Azure environment.
- Prior experience working with AWS, GCP or any cloud platform
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies, infrastructure, and scalable architectures.
- Knowledge with SQL skills; preferably using Python.
- Knowledge with streaming OLAP engines like Druid, Click House, etc.
- Experience working with large data sets (billions of records) and visualization (Tableau, Preset).
- Bachelor’s / Masters in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, statistics, social or natural science), or other advanced degrees with additional experience

The salary range for this role in California is $ 109,100.00 – $181,800 . Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
