We’re looking for someone to join our team as a Director, Cardiac Service Line who:

Provides clinical administration and leadership for Cardiovascular Services Service Line.

Promotes quality, cost containment, clinical protocols, technology, efficiencies and supply utilization.

Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.

Essential Functions:
Leads with an operational focus, setting strategy, objectives and policies.

Promotes teamwork and high quality customer service.

Ensures quality, safety, and The Joint Commission standards are consistently met.

Participates in the Quality Improvement process.

Manages and directs staffing patterns for efficiency.

Monitors and ensures service line quality, e.g., clinical outcomes, credentialing/privileging, processes, services and satisfaction.

Maintains responsibility for keeping Chest Pain and Atrial Fibrillation accreditations current, and other certifications/accreditations, as necessary.

Assists with marketing and promotions of cardiovascular service line.

Establishes operational objectives for the department, including work plans and delegating assignments to team.

Works within broad guidelines; applies advanced technical knowledge of multiple departments to solve complex problems which may have long-term impact on the department(s).

Leads department(s) activities through managers and supervisors, including full human resources, cost and financial accountability.

Maintains overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, recommending and implementing changes to methods.

Represents the hospital by membership in related professional and community associations.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

You’ll be successful with the following qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, business administration, hospital administration or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required Master’s Degree: Preferred
Work Experience:
Seven years risk management experience: Preferred Five years leadership experience: Preferred Two years clinical experience: Preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications:
Registered Nurse licensure in state of practice: Required
