nn nnThe Digital Content Manager provides content strategy, content management, and content governance expertise to help ensure effective, high-quality digital content on thermofisher.com.

The Digital Content Manager ensures that marketing web content adheres to best practices in information architecture (IA), editorial and brand style, user experience (UX), design, and web strategy.

The candidate must be able to build and navigate strong and collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders, function as a website subject matter expert for marketers and web teams, and be a tireless advocate for the customer experience.

The successful candidate is detail-oriented and has the ability and desire to work in a governance role.nn nn What will you do?

nn nnEnsure that digital content is accurate, consistent, and complete, and adheres to digital, editorial, SEO, and brand standardsnn nnEstablish and enforce website content guidelinesnn nnDocument and train on content best practicesnn nnReview, edit, and align marketing, educational, product, support, and search content for campaigns, new product introductions, integration projects, and routine requests according to best practicesnn nnAuthor or edit directly in content management systems, and troubleshoot content display issuesnn nnProvide subject matter expertise in life science fields, including a strong understanding of applications and techniques used in laboratories or industrial settingsnn nnAdvise on content strategy for web content projectsnn nnIdentify opportunities for and enlist business assistance with content optimization and cleanupnn nnAdvise on location of new marketing pages within the site hierarchynn nnProvide feedback on optimizing content for search enginesnn nnManage, coordinate, and prioritize tactics and projects, delivering on time and on budgetnn nnAnalyze internal and external customer needs, address customer feedback, and participate in voice of customer studies and content optimization projects to improve the presentation of contentnn nnCommunicate and collaborate effectively with business partners in meetings and using project tracking systemsnn nnAdvise on content aspects of A/B testingnn nnAnalyze content performance and web feedback, and use those data to regularly reevaluate web content guidelines and recommended content practicesnn nn How will you get here?

nn nnBA/BS in a scientific discipline; advanced degree preferrednn nnExperience writing or editing scientific technical marketing contentnn nnExperience managing marketing and product content on websites within content management systemsnn nnLaboratory experience a plusnn nnKeen attention to detail and a high regard for content qualitynn nnImpeccable writing, grammar, and proofreading skills and sophisticated knowledge of English usage (grammar, spelling, punctuation, language usage, audience sensitivity) and scientific content typesnn nnUnderstanding of web disciplines such as user experience, taxonomy and tagging, information architecture, content marketing, componentized content, digital marketing, analytics, and testingnn nnExcellent analytical, problem-solving, time management, and communication skillsnn nnStrong project management, relationship management, and critical thinking skillsnn nnStrong organization, verbal communication, and presentation skillsnn nnAbility to manage multiple projects under tight timelinesnn nnHighly motivated with a demonstrated ability to take initiative to drive content improvementsnn nnExperience in web analytics a plusnn nnAbility to travel at low frequency for team, project, and business meetingsnn nnThermo Fisher Scientific is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
