Design Director, Enterprise Products

Whip Media Group is seeking a Design Director to drive the next generation of design and user experience for our SaaS platform, which is transforming the content licensing ecosystem.

Leading and growing a team of designers, you will deliver the very best in visuals and functionality to our long list of high profile entertainment clients and lead the effort to integrate the evolving Whip Media brand identity into the product look and feel.

This role will collaborate with product owners, fellow designers, user researchers, developers, marketers, and more in order to ideate, design, and refine our Content Value Management platform and suite of data products.

Reporting directly to the President of Whip Media, you’ll have a high degree of ownership and impact.

What will you do?

  • Drive the transformation of our enterprise B2B products into an industry-leading experience driven by superior function and visuals
  • Apply your expertise in visual and interface design, ideation, iteration, and design systems to improving existing offerings and launching innovative new products for the entertainment industry
  • Create, extend, and apply brand identities across the CVM ecosystem, translating brand tenets into elegant user interface design
  • Develop a deep understanding of our users’ needs and utilize that knowledge to creatively solve their problems
  • Create visually pleasing high fidelity wireframes and prototypes for our enterprise SaaS products
  • Manage and build a team of designers to support CVM
  • Serve as liaison between the marketing and product teams to ensure that the product reflects the brand image and company ideals consistently and positively
  • Communicate design guidelines and patterns to ensure a consistent, intuitive experience across digital products

What do you need?

  • 2+ years as a design or creative director, with experience managing both visual and UX designers
  • 6+ years as a designer with a portfolio demonstrating a strong attention to detail, an eye for good design, and advanced knowledge of visual and UX design 
  • Experience creating and/or maintaining style guides and design systems
  • Experience designing a modern SaaS or enterprise platform
  • In-depth knowledge of website functionality, interactions, usability, and navigation
  • A holistic understanding of the end-to-end user centered iterative design process 
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), time management, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment and responding to peer feedback

We are always hiring in our Whip hubs of New York City, Los Angeles and London where we currently have corporate offices
– but for specific roles where we are open to hiring remotely
– we can hire in Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas,  Washington, and Wisconsin.
