ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Corporate Volunteer Engagement Manager oversees all corporate volunteer activities and is responsible for the development and implementation of recruitment and engagement strategies to expand corporate partnerships. The Manager understands and adapts to the changing nature of volunteerism and engagement to create impactful volunteer experiences and special event activities that move corporate partners along the Food Bank donor journey. This role will work in direct collaboration with staff from various departments such as Development, Operations and Programs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Volunteer relations: Expertly manage a large portfolio of corporate partners to engage them in service opportunities that foster long-term relationships and generate support for the Food Bank’s mission. Identify and pursue potential partnerships with corporations and businesses through research and outreach to new and existing corporate partners (cold calling included). Develop and implement a comprehensive annual plan for corporate volunteer engagement.
Events planning: Handle all inquiries regarding corporate volunteer opportunities with the Food Bank and works collaboratively with companies and organizations to create customized, community service events, including days of service and annual volunteer campaigns. Schedule, plan, coordinate, and execute day of service events and provide high-level service to corporate partners. On-site contact for corporate volunteer events and responsible for coordinating all logistics, managing/performing event set up and clean up, and coordinating with event staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree preferred.
* 2-4 years of volunteer management experience and/or nonprofit development or fundraising.
* Experience in organizing and executing successful events.
* Experience in volunteer recruitment and donor engagement desired.
* Excellent writing and oral presentation skills.
* Highly professional, confident, and poised.
* Excellent attention to detail and highly organized.
* Ability to multi-task and meet concurrent needs and deadlines.
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner and communicate effectively with diverse constituents.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct one’s self in a calm and professional demeanor when dealing with the public and/or with difficult situations.
* Desire to be accountable to individual and team goals, inclusive of donor, dollar, and event goals.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule based on corporate partners, including evenings and weekends.
* Highest level of personal and ethical standard with the ability to represent the organization professionally and responsibly.
* Commitment to, and passion for, the mission of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
* Access to reliable transportation, will need to report to various locations throughout LA County.
