We need people like you to help make it happen Job Summary: The Manager, Contracts and Compliance is responsible for AMETEK Programmable Power’s contracts with Prime Contractors and their Tier Suppliers whose customer is the U.S.

Government, directly or indirectly, and commercial customer contracts.

The Manager will also assist with AMETEK Programmable Power’s compliance with U.S.

exports laws and regulations and provide general contract management support.

This position requires close collaboration with members of senior management as well as various corporate, divisional, and department-level colleagues including Sales, Customer Service, Contracts, Purchasing, Quality, Operations, and Product and Program Management teams.

The person selected for this role must have excellent interpersonal skills as they will be negotiating terms, leading others, and managing workflows.

They must be influential, motivational, and personable.

They must be capable of communicating with employees at every level, and they must be capable of delivering in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities: Handle the review, negotiation, communication, and management of contracts with Prime Contractors and their Tier Suppliers whose customer is the U.S.

Government, directly or indirectly, and U.S.

government agencies.

Develop processes and procedures for review of, and compliance with, U.S.

government acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS, etc.) in customer contracts.

Work with various departments to oversee flow downs of U.S.

government acquisition regulations to suppliers.

Provide responses to government surveys and questionnaires and satisfy reporting obligations to customers and/or government agencies.

Assist Sales and Customer Service members in preparing proposals and negotiations relating to contracts and subcontracts by discussing contractual issues and requirements and recommending negotiation strategies and solutions that benefit the Company.

Lead portions of customer negotiations related to such contracts and subcontracts as required.

Ensure that all contracting parties comply with existing and future contract or subcontract obligations and provide feedback, risk assessment, advice and/or mitigation strategies to Company representatives regarding contractual obligations.

Collaborate with members of other departments and participate in/conduct meetings relating to contracts or subcontracts such as disputes with customers, claims asserted by customers and/or Company, reporting requirements, etc.

Generate reports or analyses of existing contracts and subcontracts as requested by Company representatives.

Provide the framework to ensure compliance with all applicable U.S.

export laws (e.g., Export Administration Act of 1979, the Export Administration Regulations, the U.S.

Arms Export Control Act, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, etc.) and/or any applicable non-U.S.

export laws and regulations.

Release international shipments and transfers of products and information to foreign destinations in compliance with applicable U.S.

exports laws and regulations.

Provide Denied/Restricted Parties screenings for customers, sales representatives/agents, etc.; evaluation and approval of End User Statements and other export due diligence and documentation requirements for international shipments.

Manage export license applications, international permits, technical assistance agreements, and other requests for licenses and approvals to the appropriate government agencies.

Administer export licensing program and compliance with license conditions and reporting requirements.

Manage compliance with ITAR standards and U.S.

State Department regulations for ITAR controlled facilities.

Maintain and manage effective policies and procedures for exports and ITAR compliance and train Company employees involved in importing and exporting hardware and/or technology on such policies and procedures.

Operate as an export compliance liaison to sales representatives, distributors, customers and other third parties, as required.

Investigate and report to the Division VP of Strategic Product Management any incidences of purported non-compliance with export laws and regulations; conducting periodic audits of exports and compliance processes and procedures and implementing corrective action, as required.

General Contract Management Assist in drafting, reviewing and negotiating non-disclosure agreements and customer purchase order terms and conditions in compliance with the Contracts Departments contract review, approval, and execution policies.

Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with Customers and Suppliers in compliance with the Contracts Departments contract review, approval, and execution policies.

Ensure that contracts and other documents maintained by the Contracts Department are filed and/or stored accurately and completely in the files and/or databases.

Assist in managing the Contracts Departments SharePoint site for contract review requests.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Five (5) years of experience in contract management involving contracts with the U.S.

Government and/or Prime/Tiered supplier contractors of the U.S.

Government.

Experience in the aerospace industry.

Experience with FAR, DFARS, and other U.S.

Government acquisition regulations; general knowledge of pre-award and post-award federal government contracting industry practices, techniques, and standards.

Experience with Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations (OFAC) and customs regulations.

Knowledge of commercial contracting principles and general business practices.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Desired Qualifications: Experience working on contract management for a Prime/Tier 1 U.S.

Government contractor.

Effective communication skills (written and verbal), adept problem-solving ability, ability to influence others, and excellent attention to detail.

Confidence and ability to clearly present defensible interpretations of contractual provisions or government regulations during disputes while working towards an amicable resolution.

Experience with SharePoint and Oracle.
