ACCOUNT MANAGER

Department: Commercial Position Type: Direct, Full-time

Reports to: Vice President / Commercial Services

Compensation: Negotiable based on experience

Summary

Account Managers support the Account Executive in maintaining existing clients by providing technical support and services on assigned accounts in accordance with agency procedures

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Respond to the day-to-day servicing needs of clients in accordance with standard procedures, including but not limited to the following task:

· Maintain accurate and current detail information in the Sagitta System

· Maintain electronic files in accordance with agency procedures

· Review and distribute mail tasks on a daily basis

· Review all non-standard certificate orders

· Advise Account Executive, Producer and/or management of potential problems on accounts

· Prepare Statements of Values and Summaries of Insurance as well as premium allocations, renewal worksheets, renewal submissions and proposals

· Market renewal accounts; negotiate terms and conditions with carriers

· Order, confirm and invoice new and renewal coverage upon receipt of Placement Sheet from Account Executive

· Oversee policy review for accuracy; instruct Account Assistant as needed

· Order endorsement changes requested by insured

· Maintain Expiration Log with current information

· All other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

· High school diploma required

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Have at least 3 years of related insurance agency experience
Hold Current and Valid Property and Casualty Insurance License Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint Performs functions on agency management systems proficiently Works as a team member to achieve department goals and overall company goals Demonstrates positive customer service skills internally and externally Maintains confidentiality of all information related to clients, customers, employees and carriers as appropriate
Continuing Education

Must complete all required continuing education hours for the state in which licenses are held; in areas related to your job function (or future position desired).

Courses helpful to professional development, whether giving continuing education credits or not are encouraged

Physical Demands & Work Environment

· Work is performed in a professional office environment

· This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

· Must have the ability to push, pull, lift and or carry up to 25 pounds

· Occasional travel to clients sites may be required within driving distances
