Claims Director

The Claims Director fosters a creative team environment to bring forth the skills and talents of department members for our clients and establishes the departments immediate and long-range goals and objectives.

Analyzes, recommends, and implements solutions and enhancements regarding systems, productivity, and technical matters.

Position requires strong management experience and skills, and demonstrated experience in resource planning, retention and quality. 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
  • Leverage analytics to develop and execute strategic operative plans
  • Contribute to the development of strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall leadership of the organization.
  • Mentor and develop team members using a supportive and collaborative approach: identify outcomes, accountabilities, and priorities, and then monitor and evaluate results. 
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures that will ensure the quality delivery of all service functions as defined within the administrative agreements with clients. 
  • Coordinates with internal and external resources to ensure that Aon is delivering a competitive offering that provides increased value to our client’s customers. 
  • Key contact for client and customer matters, both strategic and tactical in nature, conveying proactive subject matter expertise. 

Required Experience

  • 8-10 years claims or operations management experience in a financial services or insurance environment
  • Experience identifying, evaluating, analyzing operational efficiencies and business situations 
  • Proven analytical and process improvement skills with a data-driven approach to problem solving 
  • Team player able to work with cross-functional teams 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in a team environment, capable of interacting with clients
  • Strong technology experience to include backend reporting experience including in-depth of knowledge with claims processing technology solutions
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills 
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills and experience
  • Strong proficiency with the MicroSoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
