– Insights Manager (Analytics) will lead insights generation activities by integrating various secondary data sources and engaging other Commercial Data and Analytics team members to develop a comprehensive understanding of brand performance.

This position will support several brands withing the portfolio.

The role reports to the Senior Manager of Commercial Insights Portfolio Enablement.

Job Responsibilities include: Develop and perform secondary data analytics to support brand teams in marketing and strategic decisions Provide senior leadership with an objective and rigorous perspective using secondary data analytics on brand performance for several brands in Amgen portfolio Support the team for pull-through on analytical approaches and articulate findings and insights Apply analytical rigor to profile available data and understand the associated complexities to enable KPI design and effective dialogue with the collaborators Work cross functionally with commercial insights, data management, value and access, and marketing teams to develop and clearly communicate findings and assumptions Design and deliver analysis using complex sources including specialty pharmacy data, copay data, claims, etc.

to generate a comprehensive understanding of business and to provide useful insights Interpret requests from team members, and provide quick turnaround on analyses to support any critical business needs Manage relationship with external vendors to prioritize business needs and enable effective execution of analytics Enhance the capabilities of the commercial data and analytics team by researching and implementing new analytical tools, methodologies, internal and external best practices, new data sources, etc.

Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree or Masters degree and 3 years of analytics experience or Bachelors degree and 5 years of analytics experience or Associates degree and 10 years of analytics experience or High school diploma / GED and 12 years of analytics experience Preferred Qualifications: Strong knowledge of analytic methodologies, as well as marketing analytics in the pharmaceutical industry Experience with advanced spreadsheets, modeling software, reporting software, and database design Ability to think strategically to support key business decisions Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environment across different functional groups Demonstrated analytical skillsunderstands the strengths and limitations of different analytical approaches and their findings Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts and controversial findings clearly to a variety of audiences, including senior management Skill in handling multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously Working knowledge of commonly used biopharmaceutical industry datasets and databases Thrive Some of the vast rewards of working here As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates professional and personal growth and well-being.
