Manager, Category Development, Chain Accounts
– West
About the Role: The Manager, Category Development covering Chain Accounts in the West Region will be charged with driving superior sales performance through the development, delivery, and presentation of industry-leading category insights for our retailers and distributors.
Use your creativity and entrepreneurial mindset to help our Sales teams grow category and brand volume & revenue.
This person is accountable for driving insight-led presentations and forging internal and external relationships to think bigger and broader in what it means to win with distribution and assortment, category business reviews, shelf resets, innovation, and more.
This role is directly responsible for West Region category insights that drive the HUSA portfolio.
Chain Accounts include: Northern California and Northwest regional chain accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver category insights and trend analyses to the West Chain Account Managers and HUSA Chain Account Teams
• Collaborate with the Consumer and Market Intelligence team to provide ongoing shopper insights
• Identify opportunities to develop programs and initiatives that attract and convert more shoppers to your customers
• Develop selling tools in collaboration with sales teams to capitalize on Category and High-End volume opportunities
• Provide analytics around assortment changes to planograms including implications to category and Heineken USA performance
• Prepare presentations/templates such as Joint Business Planning presentations, new item presentations, and post-promotion analyses
• Create and Deliver weekly reporting to internal and external teams Basic
Qualifications/Requirements:
• 3+ years of CPG category management experience required
• Strong analytical and technical skills required
• Experience with syndicated data sources (Nielsen, IRI, Spectra, Household Panel), space planning, and consumer/shopper insights required
• Exposure to retail account management and beverage distribution models preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Must be of legal drinking age in the US at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Adult Beverage Industry experience preferred
