The Business Development Director – Value Based Partnerships is a highly visible role within Anthem’s Value Based Solutions Strategy & Network Optimization team .

The Director will be responsible for leading several key business development activities (provider pitch deck creation, provider partner fit assessment, opportunity sizing, pipeline management) associated with the launch of a new strategically important value-based network product platform.

Successful candidates will have a passion for transforming healthcare, knowledge of value based programs and the interplay with network, product and provider enablement programs, strong oral and written presentation skills, and experience working with providers.

Please note this is NOT a sales job.

(This position can work remotely from an US Location)

Primary duties to include, but are not limited to: analyzes local delivery system dynamics to establish provider targets; develops and maintains provider partnership pipeline by market.

Partner with marketing and local provider teams to develop provider pitch deck and other provider-facing collateral.

Partner with finance and health economics to quantify partnership value.

Develops business plans and formulates strategies for both new and existing, partnerships, joint ventures and/or alliances.

Provides research, analysis and recommendations on the external environment as part of the development of strategic plans.

Plans and coordinates with the reporting and data analysis team to accomplish the business objectives through information management.

Creates business cases and/or obtains resources (people, funding, material, support) business information needs and strategic initiatives.

Provides leadership in motivating indirect subordinates to accomplish reporting and data analysis goals and objectives.

Reports project status and progress to management.

Acts as a liaison to other BUs/companies.

Implements product/operational changes resulting from changing legislation/regulations. 

Qualifications

Requires a BA/BS degree; 8
– 10 years of business or related experience including 5 years of progressive direct/indirect leadership responsibilities; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
