Brand Manager (Bad Parenting Moments)

The Role:

We are looking for a remote Brand Manager for our powerhouse brand, Bad Parenting Moments. Bad Parenting Moments has an audience of , , and , and we’re growing every day. You will work with the Content & Marketing team to launch the new BadParentingMoments.com, as well as develop and implement a strategy to move us forward. Bad Parenting Moments speaks to a broad spectrum of people, yet has a specific, no B.S. voice. You will fine tune that voice and ensure it speaks authentically to our audience across each platform.

You may be an entrepreneur, a business owner, or even an ad agency account manager, but no matter what, you have a proven track record of elevating a brand and driving revenue. You’re someone who speaks “parent” fluently and understands that there’s a little bad parent in all of us. You are looking for a chance, you want to take the raw materials we have and turn them into gold. Lots of gold. You love social media, internet culture, are platform agnostic (but know how different they can be), and you already know who the best mom-fluencers are.

You will:

  • Ideate and execute original content for BadParentingMoments.com to grow and monetize our presence across platforms
  • Work with our developers to implement product changes and improvements to the site
  • Seek brand partnerships and monetization opportunities for editorial/video branded content
  • Create an editorial calendar and assign pitches, edit, and publish editorial content daily
  • Hire and onboard new freelance writers to service the new site including guest bloggers
  • Work with our Email Marketing team to launch a super successful BPM email newsletter
  • Have a keen eye for detail & be a great copyeditor
  • Act as the lead on any project across multiple teams to drive everything from engagement to monetization

You should be ready to:

  • Make an impact from day one, because you’ve got the experience and vision to take this on
  • Swap between both the creative and technical aspects on a moment’s notice. One second you are running a brand voice exercise and the next working with developers on the latest site improvements
  • Elevate voice of Bad Parenting Moments, it’s good but you can fine tune it and evangelize the brand
  • Make cold calls or emails to bring in new leads for branded content opportunities, you don’t mind a bit of sales
  • Strategize how to align our strategy with other big initiatives
  • Demonstrate an in depth knowledge of digital culture and understanding of platforms and social media best practices
