nnGlobal raw material chemical supplier to the Personal Care Manufacturing markets is looking to fill a critical Brand Account Manager position in the Southern California area.
This position would be home-based and would cover the Western USA.
This is a highly visible and strategic sales role within the company.
It’s a financially lucrative opportunity and certainly can lead to future advancement opportunities.
Overnight travel is estimated to be less than 30%.nn nn n nn nn Responsibilities: Identify, prioritize, and develop new business opportunities with Personal Care Brands in the Western USA.
Manage relationships (high, deep, and wide) calling on all key decision makers and raw material specifiers in R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, etc.
Provide them with a turn-key service, providing unified pricing, formulations, and exclusive products while directing them towards trusted contract manufacturers in the field.
This is “pull-thru” selling.
The brands themselves don’t buy the raw materials, but they do specify to contract manufacturers what exactly goes into their formulations.
Work closely with raw material suppliers for support.
Also, work closely with all internal departments (sales, technical service, operations, etc.) in order to provide excellent service.
Build profitable supply contracts.
Communicate effectively internally & externally and utilize a CRM program to manage the pipeline of opportunities.nn nn n nn nn Requirements: 5+ years’ experience in raw material chemical sales, marketing, and/or technical to the Personal Care Industry.
Ideally with a focus on Brands.
An experienced chemist/formulator in the Personal Care industry with an aptitude for sales, or who has already moved into sales, would be a possible fit.
A technical bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Personal Care related discipline is required.
Must be a “hunter” for new business.
Strong computer skills.

– $155,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.
Plus, uncapped annual bonus plan.
