Boiler Quality Control Manager

This 60-year-old So Bay Company delivers aftermarket repair services, replacement parts and fabrication services for highly engineered heat exchangers for the refinery and petrochemical industries. If desiring stability with opportunity for advancement, this is the company to consider!

Description:

· Formulate and administer the quality control program in accordance with the company’s Quality Control Manual, code requirements, and client engineering specifications.

· Maintain compliance of company’s ASME and NBIC certifications and lead triennial review of said certifications.

· Coordinate the quality inspection activities of inspectors, supervisors and quality control team.

· Produce customer Data Packages for each project/job per QC Manual specifications.

· Administer continuing surveillance of all craft disciplines of QA/QC inspection team to assure that high-quality standards or workmanship are maintained and conformed to code and approved engineering drawings/specifications in all areas.

· Develop additional quality procedures as required to incorporate special tests, audits or to improve total manufacturing and repair processes.

· Uphold compliance to ASME weld procedures and train others in QC measurements, weld procedures, materials traceability and all other ASME documentation requirements including shop traveler generation, ITPs and data reports.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

·         4 years’ experience or BS/BA degree in mechanical/manufacturing/quality engineering or equivalent.

·         Working knowledge of construction codes of ASME (Section I, II, V, VIII-Div.1 & 2, IX), NBIC, API, TEMA, AWS, etc.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat.
