At The Butcher’s Daughter, we treat fruits and vegetables as a butcher would meat: We chop, fillet and carve fresh produce into healthy vegetarian dishes and press them into healthy juices. Bakery Manager Position Overview:
- Preparing quality pastry items, to restaurant specifications
- Ensure cleanliness of work space, tools and equipment
- Daily review of production schedule and pars and then establish priority items for the day
- Inform the Executive Chef(s) of any supplies that need to complete production
- Lifting & moving items of 50lb or more (dough, bags of flour)
Bakery Manager Job Duties:
- The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive; other duties may be assigned as necessary
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended
- Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations
- Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides
- Inform the “Managing Chef” of any foreseeable shortages before items run out
- Inform the Food & Beverage service staff of 86’d items and the amount of available menu specials throughout the meal period
- Minimize waste and maintain consistency
Required Experience:
- 2 years experience in a professional, large volume production baking or pastry role
- Experience with vegan and gluten-free pastries
- Experience working in a managerial or supervisory role
- Ability to lift items of 50lb (dough, bags of flour)
