Primary responsibilities of the group include the overall audit methodology of the Firm, providing technical consultation to our Assurance practice, maintenance of the Firm’s standard templates and practice aids, and writing and teaching technical content for the Firm’s professionals.
In addition, we are responsible for synthesizing audit quality indicators to develop changes to our methodologies and training programs to improve future performance.
We service all industry groups of the Firm, and support all assurance engagements.
In addition, we are responsible for the Independence matters of the Firm, both from business and personal perspectives.
Our professionals work on a variety of engagements including, but not limited to the following:
- Audits
- Reviews
- Compilations
- Agreed-upon procedures
- Other attestation engagements
The ideal candidate should possess expertise and experience within various industries.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years’ experience with a top 20 public accounting firm
- Prior experience in a technical accounting or quality review/control role is preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
- CPA is a must
- Knowledge of accounting for complex financial instruments, business combinations and equity transactions is preferred, as well as experience with SEC reporting entities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
