Associate Director, Security Services

This role may be based in Los Angeles or remotely from San Francisco or Seattle.

We seek a highly motivated, detail-oriented, business-development-minded professional with creativity, initiative and project management skills to support our Security Services practice in North America. The Security Services team is responsible for executive protection, event security and other security-related services for our clients.

This position is for a fee-earning consultant who will support the practice by focusing on business development particularly with our West Coast-based clients.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Work with the Security Services practice and our geo-market leaders for the West Coast to generate new business and promote our Security Services pipeline growth through outside business development efforts.

  • Generate new business and promote sales growth through outside business development efforts
  • Help develop the Security Services pipeline to include executive protection, event security, TSCM sweeps, workplace violence response and various operational security projects
  • Identify opportunities for, cultivate and help to implement medium- to long-term executive protection programs within the United States and Canada for corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals
  • Assist in developing an annual sales plan in support of the practice’s strategy and objectives
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, products and competitors
  • Build, develop and manage sales key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge and experience

  • At least 5+ years of proven business development track record with limited supervision or guidance, ideally related to security services
  • Demonstrated success in the industry managing or designing executive protection programs
  • Advanced knowledge about the security services market in the United States specifically related to executive protection
  • Prior experience implementing executive protection programs from the ground up

Qualifications and specialist skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Personal protection qualification or equivalent preferred
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Solid client relationship skills
  • Travel as needed (up to 50% of the time)
