Associate Director, Project Management

n n nn The Associate Director of Project Management (Associate Director of PM) at The Many leads a portion of the project management team, serving as their direct supervisor and overseeing Project Management on larger, more complex accounts.

They, along with another Associate Director of PM, keep the Director of Project Management up-to-date on the team and lead other efforts, including, but not limited to: mentoring team members, scope development, project assignments/resourcing, representing the agency in the new business meetings, developing agency process, and team growth/hiring.  n n Similar to a Senior Project Manager (Sr.

PM), the Associate Director of PM also devotes a portion of their time to lead the day-to-day execution of some projects, especially high-profile and complex projects, which may include: print, digital, POS, social, pitch presentations, etc., as well as assist with broadcast and experiential projects.

Responsibilities include: being responsible for the communication and delivery of creative projects to the client and the creation of project schedules based on information provided by the client/brand team; partnering closely with the Brand Director, who directly manages the client’s higher-level relationship; share the day-to-day communications and relationship with the client with the Brand Director.

Therefore, the Associate Director of PM must possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable taking the lead with clients from a Project Management perspective.  n n The Associate Director of PM at The Many is empowered to lead a great team and produce great work results through relentless organization, uncompromising integrity, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving.  n nn nResponsibilities and Dutiesn Serve as the department lead when Director is unavailable Kick-off new accounts/projects and setting a precedent for the team Review scopes and assigning team resources Participate in high-level new business meetings Assist with developing agency and team process Consult on team growth and planning Establish monthly and weekly check-ins with direct reports Mitigate team conflict and communication problems; resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion Look to continuously optimize processes on accounts or on certain projects Lead by example for other project managers on the team Assist with more complex projects and accounts, including: Develop, maintain and execute full-cycle project plans and leads the creative through the process, including define project schedules, objectives, and deliverables to meet the needs of the client Manage day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects, leading cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables are completed on time and to client expectations Oversee traffic management of projects from concept to completion, which includes developing, managing, and moving along project schedules with the client and creative resources React quickly to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently, while assisting creative teams in the prioritization of work.

Coordinate project expectations with the brand team, creative team, designers/animators, other project managers, and third-party vendors (photographer/printers/illustrators).

Develop and maintain proper vendor relationships to accomplish goals.

Manage misc new business and internal projects, as needed Act as an integrated producer where needed for digital, print, and other projects Additional duties to be assigned nQualifications:n Minimum 6 or more years of project management experience at an advertising/creative agency Experience leading and mentoring Project Managers Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, especially an internal team and client perspective An enthusiastic, positive, and committed attitude, flexible problem-solver, open to participate and grow with the company Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in a collaborative agency environment Process-driven, highly-organized and methodical with excellent time management skills Must be self-motivated, with the ability to think independently, proactively, and work autonomously when necessary Ability to effectively prioritize, execute tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment and with multiple resources Fully integrated experience a plus
– including digital, print, social media, TV, and experiential Strong understanding of project management principles, methods, techniques, and web-based tools Have a passion for great creative work Have a level of understanding of creative work and strategy, plus how it affects production, timelines, etc.
