Job Summary
We are seeking an outstanding individual to join our team in Westlake Village, CA! The Associate Director of Human Resources Operations is responsible for managing the efficient operation of many of Arcutis’ core human resource processes and programs, including HR information systems, compliance, benefits management, employee onboarding and offboarding, and promoting a company culture that is rooted in Arcutis’ operating principles.
Roles & Responsibilities
Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
1. In partnership with Finance team, evaluates current HR and payroll system and makes recommendations to support short- and long-range Human Resources and Company goals.
2. Manages relationships with software and hardware vendors and ensures the development of proper training and documentation for system use and maintenance.
3. Works with other Arcutis departments to develop company-wide use of HRIS reporting functions.
4. Oversees the development and maintenance of the HR sections of the company’s corporate intranet.
5. Manages the company’s employee database.
Human Resources Compliance
6. Develops processes and policies to ensure that employee transactions are appropriately documented and all required approvals are obtained.
7. Responds to requests from internal and external auditors to provide documentation for requested transactions.
8. Partners with internal departments to ensure compliance with federal, state and international, where appropriate, laws governing human resources practices and data privacy.
Benefits
9. Manages the company’s benefits programs, including medical insurance programs, retirement plans, leave of absence programs, sick leave and time off policies.
10. Ensures programs are current with regard to trends, practices and costs.
11. Coordinates vendor management, wellness and health education initiatives.
12. Negotiates coverage services and costs with carriers.
13. Ensures Arcutis complies with federal and state leave laws.
Annual Performance Review and Compensation Cycle
14. Assists in the selection, administration and maintenance of performance management systems.
15. Assists with the company’s annual performance review and compensation planning cycle.
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
16. In partnership with other internal departments and HR staff, administers onboarding logistics for new-hires and offboarding logistics for employees leaving the company.
Education & Licenses and Experience
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and 10 or more years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
