Assistant Project Managers: Del Amo Construction is currently hiring for Assistant Project Managers in Los Angeles. Please apply with you have 2+ years of experience and have have ground up or adaptive reuse commercial construction experience with a gc.Summary: The Assistant Project Manager assists in the planning, management, and execution of work for assigned construction projects. Manages projects to meet quality standards, owner expectations, and profitability. Assesses and responds to customer needs and cultivates customer relationships. Promotes the Del Amo Construction value proposition and assists in training project personnel. May be assigned to more than one project at a time.Essential Responsibilities:• Provides administrative support to the Project Manager in the day-to-day operations of constructing a project.• Reviews plans and specification requirements for construction projects to ensure completeness and accuracy. Detects errors and omissions.• Assists in developing proposed job schedules for construction.• Assists Project Manager with administrative tasks that include reviewing, tracking and processing subcontractor RFI s, drawings, submittals, change orders, payment applications and other project related documentation.• Negotiates with subcontractors and provides value engineering.• Attends construction meetings as needed.• Visits site as needed to complete administration tasks.• Assists Project Superintendent with office support.• Interfaces with Owners, Architects, Consultants, and other parties and provides solutions-oriented customer service to ensure the best experience for our partners.Skills:• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently• Knowledge of construction techniques• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Accurate and precise attention to detail• Subcontractor scheduling• Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions• Self-motivated and self-directed• Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules• Able to build solid relationships with team members, clients, and business partners• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Project Management software
