If you see yourself being part of a team that helps the global economy grow through our worldwide network of customers and terminals, then we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities* Manage staff, labor and vendors to achieve established safety, financial and production goals.* Manage the development and performance of key stakeholders, including, recommending or implementing positive reinforcement, training or disciplinary action.* Directly manage union workforce, to include: contractual work practices, discipline and grievance resolution.* Mediate operational issues with union representatives and business agents effectively and professionally.* Supervise key stakeholders to achieve customer service level agreements related to the assigned operations department.* Exercise management authority to promote total-terminal success in accordance with the leadership’s strategic vision, including optimization of work processes and efficient manpower utilization.* Promote good working relationships with customers, vendors, and the ILWU workforce.* Effectively communicate and coordinate with other Transportation and Logistics business units to support the APMM Group strategies and vision.Who we are looking forBased in Los Angeles, CA, the Manager of Operations is responsible for managing their designated operation (Vessel, Rail, Yard or Gate Operations); ensuring safety, service and operating efficiencies are achieved.Established authorization to work in the US is required.Five (5) years of prior experience supervising direct reports and degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field is strongly preferred.>Last application date: 13 June 2021.For further information, please contact: janee.ortiz@apmterminals.com.apmterminals.comIs a career with APM Terminals right for you?
