COMPENSATION: Salaried starting at $62,000 annually

POSITION SUMMARY
Work collaboratively as part of a team of Production Managers to guide the execution of productions and events in all three of Center Theatre Group’s theatres. Interface regularly with Creative Personnel and Production Staff in both union and non-union settings. Assist in the day-to-day operations and administration of the Production Department and participate in company-wide initiatives and committees.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide production support to a Production Manager as assigned by the Director of Production. Be onsite at the theatre for load in, tech and preview weeks in rotation with the Production Manager to provide coverage and supervision of the Production Staff.
• Maintain updated season calendars. Generate tech, load-in and load-out schedules. Distribute calendars as needed.
• Organize and share production information to keep teammates informed and to promote a transparent production process. Create and maintain useful archives of documents from each production for future reference.
• Schedule and attend production meetings, take notes, and distribute to the team.
• Process hourly employees’ payroll and new hire paperwork.
• Manage the designer contracting process, generating all contracts, and ensuring timely payment for fees and union benefits.

• Maintain and promote a safe work environment by following and enforcing all safety regulations, providing safety equipment, training employees on safe practices, reporting incidents, managing record keeping, staying up to date on safety issues and advising on safety related policy and decisions.
• Work on projects for the improvement of the Production Department.
• Manage the physical production of workshops, rentals and events as assigned by the Director of Production including occasional offsite projects.
• Collaborate with all staff in the furtherance of Center Theatre Group’s goal of being an anti- racist theatre working towards Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for all. Encourage and empower everyone to speak out against racist workplace practices and policies. Participate in organization-wide anti-racism work and incorporate an anti-racist lens into daily practice.
• Support the Education and Community Partnerships, Institutional Advancement and Marketing departments in furthering their work. This could include teaching workshops, leading tours, discussing behind the scenes activities, or taking on interns or apprentices.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Expierance working in live entertainment or events.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with people that are mixed across lines of differences such as race, gender-identity, sexual orientation, religion, ability, age, class, and immigrant status.
• Proficient using computers and general knowledge of basic computer programs (email, word processing, etc.).
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively while managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Ability to remain centered and respectful during sensitive situations, guiding teams to consensus in a holistic manner.
• With advanced notice, ability to work a flexible schedule including morning, evening, and weekend hours.
