We have an immediate opening for an Asbestos (Environmental) Supervisor in our Chicago, IL office.

Job Summary The Environmental Supervisor is responsible for supervising crewmembers during the performance of asbestos, mold, lead, and/or other hazardous waste removals while adhering to company policies and procedures regarding remediation while overseeing job set-up and quality control.

Benefits Package includes Weekly pay (we get paid every Friday) PTO, holiday pay, and sick pay Health, dental, and vision plans 401K plan (Company Match) & other incentives Qualifications and Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of supervisory experience 3-5 years of Asbestos, Lead, and Mold abatement experience and hazardous waste/ materials Must be in possession of current Asbestos Supervisor certificate Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) & Mold/Fungi EPA Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) preferred Additional Eligibility Qualifications The individual must have on file a valid and current environmental physical enabling the individual to wear a respirator Responsibilities Supervising crews Hazardous material containment and clean-up Healthcare Facility bio-hazard clean-up Asbestos removal/abatement Mold Remediation Lead Abatement Communication Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Bilingual English/Spanish is encouraged, but not required.

Work Environment Working around equipment and machinery, the work environment is usually dirty, dusty, and noisy, on uneven ground/surfaces containing hazardous or potentially hazardous substances and/or materials, and is subject to inclement or extreme weather conditions and temperatures.

Work includes handling hazardous materials and the use of personal protective equipment.

Frequent travel is required for this position.

Physical Demands Must be in good physical health and be able to meet the medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical examination and drug screening.
