Art Director

Alo Yoga is looking for a full-time Art Director with a strong creative and apparel background.

The ideal candidate is a driven executor and a strong creative manager.

You must possess a strong pedigree in visual design and art direction and demonstrate expertise in strategic digital and retail experiences.

The role requires a highly creative, strategic and conceptual approach to deliver the brand vision across a multitude of touch-points.

As the Art Director, you will drive and inspire the creative team to create beautiful, integrated, and effective work for the Alo Yoga brand.

This role will work directly with the Creative Director and the creative team to concept and execute a wide range of brand projects.

The Art Director will manage the graphic design team members and their output.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the Director of Creative to concept, design, and produce engaging content that aligns across all platforms (digital marketing, social media, email, retail, packaging) Manage graphic design team, which creates assets for all digital, retail, social, paid, packaging , events and other branded assets.

Partner with a team of directors, copywriters, stakeholders and production professionals to build out and oversee cohesive and elevated marketing campaigns Work with cross functional teams to understand channel needs.

Thoroughly understand and clearly convey a cohesive brand voice throughout all marketing materials, while continuously elevating the overall aesthetic.

Create storyboards, design layouts with an omni-channel focus and coordinate the work of design team.

Oversee and mentor a team of designers, providing thoughtful creative direction, while ensuring consistent delivery with a strong attention to detail Manage communication of approvals and routing of deliverables to key stakeholders and key approvers.

Must have strong communication skills and be able to work cross functionally with creative leads, design, visual merchandising, and marketing.

Stay current on trends, culture, and events and have a natural curiosity for data.

Drive processes for workflow efficiencies and be solution-oriented in the face of challenges.

Have a self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit.

Be willing and ready to design assets and roll up your sleeves to create work and direction when and where necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a creative/design role with expertise in typography, design, photography, and both printed and digital marketing Background managing team of graphic designers Portfolio required Exceptional portfolio of graphic design and photo art direction Interests in design, fashion, streetwear, activewear, fitness, marketing, social and digital trends Deep knowledge of how to execute in both digital and print mediums.

Self-driven, detailed oriented and accustomed to juggling multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & Sketch Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Keynote Working knowledge of After Effects Photography and/or illustration skills are a plus Degree in graphic design or similar Ability to produce various assets under a tight deadline Understand basic marketing principles and performance marketing channels
