– Area Sales Manager (21001312) nn nn n Organization n : GOLDEN ROAD BREWING nn n Primary Location n nn n Schedule n : Full-time nn nn n Job Type n : Permanent nn nn n Posting Date n : Feb 3, 2021 nn nn Job Description nn nn Golden Road Brewing is looking for an Area Sales Manager r esponsible for managing assigned geographic region through the effective planning, organizing, directing, controlling and execution of Sales and Marketing plans through our wholesaler network and Field Sales team members.

This position will partner with our wholesalers in the Central Coast territory, supporting Pacific Beverage, Beuno and Advance Wholesalers within the Ventura/Santa Barbara/Bakersfield/Visalia territory.  nn nn Strategic and Business Responsibilities nn Refine and customize annual On and Off Premise Sales and Marketing business plans for assigned territory and distributor network Establish effective distribution, display, promotional, and merchandising objectives through Sales Representatives and Distributor in order achieve overall Company business goals & objectives Function as conduit between, the field and Golden Road Upper Management by providing specific and current information on market conditions, trends and the quantity and quality of distributor performance.

Communicating to Management information and recommendations that will contribute to the development of brands, sales growth, and distributor effectiveness Effectively coordinate and communicate with Management, Distributors, and Sales Representative to facilitate the effective development and execution of programs and business initiatives.

Monitor and Evaluate distributor and customer response to products and programs Track identified metrics (sales, distribution, display, POS, etc.), providing timely performance reports nn External Management Responsibilities (Distributor) nn Work closely with distributor to develop annual plans Ensure full alignment with distributor all volume targets, points distribution targets, rate of sale targets and merchandising Ensure full alignment with distributor on all incentives, PFP, and Marketing plans to ensure all stakeholders are properly motivated/incentivized to meet KPIs resulting in volume growth, ultimately set goals and objectives Communicate expectations and monitor performance of Distributors through monthly benchmarking and quarterly performance reviews Regularly assess, communicate and activate the successful execution of Distributors KPI’s Manage Distributor’s Cents per Case budget to ensure proper utilization of annual spending plan Communicate GRB brand standards and priorities to Distributors and hold them accountable for GRB established standards for retail and on premise space, position, arrangement and point-of-sale that protect integrity of the GRB brand to the consumer.

Manage specific operating systems and standards, for the management of : Ordering & Inventory Management Quality Control Selling and merchandising objectives and standards.

Program execution guidelines.

Pricing and discount management.

Point of sale material utilization.

nn Internal Management Responsibilities  nn Support and direct Field Sales Representatives through appropriate training, communication, leadership, motivation, and evaluation to ensure the achievement of distribution, merchandising, and marketing goals resulting in annual volume goals Determine and define field level work objectives that align overall business and regional strategy with frontline business interaction and execution Clearly communicate all Field Sales Representative performance expectations and work objectives through CRM platform management Prioritize and define Field Sales Representative activities through effective CRM platform management Hold Field Sales Representative’s accountable to projected results through CRM platform management; evaluate and monitor Field Sales Representative performance Work with Field Sales Representative in market Assist L.A.

team Job Qualifications nnQualifications:nn Must be 21 years of age Must have a valid driver’s license Must have 5+ years previous beverage sales experience Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) Working expertise in the analysis and presentation of VIP, IRI, Nielson, Distributor Data and Account Scan Data to identify opportunity and competitive benchmarking Proficiency in Business Trade Math (Margin, Mark Up, Inverse Margin, Blended Margin, Breakeven, Draft Profit and Pour Costs) Proficiency with revenue management and pricing Ability to manage, lead, and develop people Ability to work nights and weekends nnAs a leading brewer, we are committed to finding innovative ways to continually improve.
