Job Title: Area Director, Head of West Surgical Sales
Location: Field based position covering the West region; must reside in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, or Las Vegas area (within 1-hour drive of a major airport)
Overview:
Lead the Surgical OR1 sales team across the West Area to achieve quantitative sales goals while building strong cross-functional relationships with internal departments. Drive market share growth for Video, Video Integration, and General Surgery products, combining strategic leadership and technical expertise. Create a culture of compliance and collaboration to deliver exceptional customer experiences and meet company objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve $80M – $100M annual sales quota through strategic direction and KPI management.
- Lead Regional Sales Managers and Sales Engineers, focusing on growth, development, and performance.
- Develop strategic area business plans and foster customer partnerships to drive market growth.
- Ensure seamless deployment and utilization of sold systems, coordinating with Operations and Customer Success teams.
- Present executive-level technical demonstrations and develop dynamic selling methodologies.
- Attract, hire, and retain top talent while nurturing a diverse and high-performing team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of sales/technical sales experience, preferably in medical/surgical devices.
- 5+ years of experience leading high-performing teams.
- Expertise in Video, Video Integration, and General Surgery products.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with a proven track record.
- Ability to travel up to 60%, including overnights.
Preferences:
- Familiarity with construction project management and XaaS or Fee per Use models.
