Facebook’s Enterprise Collaboration team is responsible for the productivity of Facebook Employees. The team is seeking an experienced, insightful, forward-thinking Application Manager to identify, design and implement efficient and effective solutions. This role will be as the Tableau subject matter expert to meet the demands of the enterprise. Additionally, as a valued member of the Enterprise organization, this person will all invest in all aspects of our collaboration tools suite, including real time document collaboration, document storage, Project Management and other tools used to improve information collaboration. This is a full-time position based in our Fremont office.
- Be the subject matter expert for all features of Tableau, communicate feature sets cross functionally
- Develop user facing training and best practices to optimize Tableau’s functionality
- Own the relationship with Tableau, driving for product enhancement to meet Facebook’s growing business requirements
- Determine the best available products to use for the employee population for their specific use cases, based on competitive analysis and consultation with internal stakeholders (security, legal etc.)
- Collect internal requirements from various teams and work to find the right solutions. Narrow down to a specific vendor/solution and work with Purchasing to finalize the contract
- Analyze users issues and report on bugs and architect solutions that will fit the Facebook infrastructure
- Project manage the internal deployment of tools including: roll-out strategy, communication plan, training and enablement of internal teams, marketing of new features and capabilities
- Partner with BSA to develop analytics to understand adoption and feature usage which will lead to roadmap decisions
- Collaborate with internal security teams to ensure all applications meet our security guidelines
- Work with internal engineers to develop integrations with these collaboration tools and Facebook products to streamline workflows
- Migrate off declining tools, manage communication and process for migration
- Work with the internal helpdesk team to ensure they are aware of product issues and they are working with the vendors to remediate those issues. Train the help desk to respond to issues correctly
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years experience working with end users to find and build productivity solutions
- 5+ years experience in Application Management, Solutions Architecture or equivalent
- 4+ years experience designing and implementing solutions in Tableau
- 3+ years experience managing visualization tools in an environment with more than 5,000 users
- 2+ years experience creating and defining dashboards and tracking product metrics using tools like Tableau, Power BI or Big Query
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Info Systems or Data Science
- 3+ years experience Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Quip, Workplace, Slack, Dropbox, Asana or any other Project Management tool in an Enterprise environment
- Communication and leadership skills and experience working with users across teams and functions and to communicate at an executive level
- Demonstrated project management skills to bring large projects to fruition
- Experience working with minimal daily guidance
