If you have an interest in automotive and a desire to develop a career in the industry, apply todayWhat We OfferMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance401K Plan MatchVacation and sick paid time offShort/Long Term DisabilityGrowth opportunitiesPaid TrainingEmployee vehicle purchase plansDiscounts on products and servicesEssential Job FunctionsWork with the parts department as appropriate to ensure proper stocking of high use partsEnsure that service department employees follow safety policies and practices and that they report any and all accidents immediately.Ensure that all required technical publications, periodicals, bulletins, are obtained, kept up-to-date and properly maintained.Quality check completed Repair Orders.Ensure that all the necessary shop equipment is in proper working condition.Communicate with customers before issues arise and get involved in escalated customer issues.Maintain accurate records and insure warranty parts retention as outlined, following all manufacturer requirements as outlined in manufacturer and company policy and procedures manuals.Maintain the highest possible standards of workmanship, advise technicians of service CSI on a monthly basis.Serve as liaison with factory representatives.Establish and maintain a good working relationship with customers to encourage repeat referral business.Assure proper repair order flow to satisfy warranty/dealership/business office requirements.Maintain reporting systems required by general manager, company and manufacturer.Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations.Maintain customer satisfaction index rating above that of manufacturer or dealership averageSupervisory ResponsibilitiesSet goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinatesOrganize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasksMonitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coachingReceive complaints and resolve problemsMaintain timekeeping and personnel recordsPass on information from upper management to employees and vice versaPrepare and submit performance reportsHire and train new employeesEnsure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arisesMinimum RequirementsThree to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Detail-oriented individual comfortable with inventory work and the computer analysis of inventories.Must be people-oriented and willing and able to ask customers questions to ensure their enthusiasm.Must have a thorough insight into automotive systems in general and must have a working knowledge of which parts are most needed for specific models.Must maintain a broad knowledge of the manufacturer’s new and recent products.Must have business savvy, as the Service Department is an important source of profit for the dealership.Must be capable of working independently, effectively managing his or her time and work flow.RequirementsMust have a high school diploma or equivalency, a bachelor’s degree is preferred.Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving RecordDriving positions require that employees be insurable under the Company’s auto insurance policy, which is available only to employees 19 or more years of age.
