Accounts Receivable and Credit Manager (Hybrid)

A Day in the Life

As the Accounts Receivable and Credit Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire accounts receivable, credit and collections process for a 3PL provider specializing in action sports/outdoor.  Our Companies are founded on a core set of values important in everything we do.  We are a valued brand in our industry, servicing global markets and have created a community around high-performance, innovation and sustainability.    

The right candidate will be responsible for invoicing functions, credit and collections, cash application, account reconciliations, monthly reporting, and communications with clients both written and verbal, and interact with internal business partners. He or she will oversee the AR process for our companies both in the USA and Canada and will be able to effectively manage, lead and mentor a hybrid team across borders. As an organization looking for continuous improvement, the AR and Credit Manager will provide timely and actionable recommendations for improvements.    

The following schedule is available for this role:

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm  

Pay Range:

$95,000.00 – $121,000.00 annually

Location:

13200 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90061 (Hybrid)

All About You 

What You’ll Bring to the Role: 

  • Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and application of accounting principles 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for strong negotiation and consensus building 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize duties, follow through assignments with minimum direction, and be extremely detail oriented in order to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies 
  • Proven ability to accurately represent facts, offer solutions, identify concerns, resolve issues and support decisions 
  • Trustworthy and moral character (we use pre-employment background & drug tests) 

The Must Haves: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting  preferred 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and/or general accounting, auditing and/or corporate finance experience.  
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with managing or supervising a team within accounts receivable or credit and collections.  
  • Experience with ERP and CRM preferred, but not required. 
  • Must have physical ability to carry out essential job functions, including but not limited to, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., walking and standing for extended periods, climbing ladders/stairs, ok with elevated areas and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, cold, etc when stepping into the warehouse. 

 

Things You Will be Doing 

  • Provide leadership to the accounts receivable and credit function and manage the day-to-day operation by managing the design and implementation of accounts receivable and credit policy and procedure within the organization  
  • Oversee processing of weekly, semi-monthly and monthly billing and A/R receipts and cash applications  
  • Collaborate/meet with Customer Service leadership to ensure compliance on billing SOP’s/ tracking of invoice disputes (volume/root cause/ improvement)  
  • Identify account delinquencies, and develop a collections strategy and escalation plan, and standardize a process for identifying high risk accounts prior to default 
  • Negotiate with clients in cases of non-payment, utilize available recourse such as credit holds, structure payment plans to resolve  
  • Manage all AR related analyses, reporting and audit requests 
  • Performs other duties as requested
