Account Manager, Specialty Gases

Description:

The role of a Specialty Gas Account Manager involves creating and nurturing strong, lasting relationships with a portfolio of clients. They must establish a connection with key business executives in the assigned territory. As an intermediary, the Account Manager works closely with cross-functional internal teams to ensure the delivery of our solutions is timely and successful according to the customer’s needs.

Essential Functions

• Operate as the lead point of contact for any matters specific to your customers.

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships

• Improves the profitability of existing accounts by fully understanding value propositions

• Supports and implements marketing plans, promotions, and new product launches

• Secures long-term relationships by negotiating product supply agreements

• Accountable for providing complete and accurate account set-up and pricing data

• Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors

• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives

• Knowledge of gases, including pure gases, gas blends, hydrocarbon blends, reactive gas blends, industrial cylinder gases, bulk atmospheric gases, and hard goods

• Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

• Responsible for gross profit improvement and securing new business

• Identify and grow opportunities within the territory and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment

• Actively review and manage existing customer Accounts Receivable balances to help minimize working capital investment and financial risk

• Assist with high-severity requests or issue escalations as needed

• Contacts existing accounts and make cold calls to potential targets

• Collaborate with internal customers to ensure that the final product or service is delivered to our external customers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

• 3+ of experience in B2B sales and account management, specifically within the life sciences, bio-sciences, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or similar technical sales positions, selling hazardous materials, chemicals, and equipment.

• 5+ years of account management or other relevant experience, including CRM experience

• Experience in Carbon Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMs), Preferred

• A demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level

• Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, multi-task, and manage time.

• Successful track record of managing a sales territory

• Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills to identify critical core

• Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills

• Strong persuasion, negotiation, and customer presentation skills.

• Valid driver’s license

• Solid computer skills and using Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel,

This is a full-time, exempt position with hours varying within core business hours from Monday to Friday.
