We’re growing Become a vital member of our team and our growth.Basic Description:The Logistics Manager is charged with the primary responsibility over the flow of goods between our distribution facilities, factories, overseas or domestic suppliers, and customers across the globe.
A successful candidate will be a strong leader who is highly organized, extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, able to handle sensitive information, as well as a demonstrated ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities.
Must have the ability to communicate well and to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Attention to detail, anticipating and planning for changes, and the ability to solve evolving problems on-the-fly while helping others on the team get organized are critical skills in this position.Job Responsibilities:Team Management: Supervise the people and projects of our global supply chain and logistics operations including our on-site warehouse team, our outside 3PL operations, and our overseas freight forwarding teams.
Monitor the projects and tasks of Logistics to ensure team members are accomplishing their assigned goals on time, triaging and assisting where necessary to close issues.Ensure the precise movement of all shipments and receivables (via ocean, truck, rail, or air) on-time throughout our global supply chain.Develop and maintain positive communication with our international and off-site Warehouses and 3PL partners to track the flow of goods and ensure their completion of assigned projects on-time.Troubleshoot and solve problems, sometimes after hours, with our domestic and international freight companies, factories, distribution centers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of goods.Keep informed of and ensure our ongoing compliance with state, federal, and international freight, import, and export regulations.Oversee the accurate preparation of all import/export shipment paperwork for US and International Customs agencies.Ensure safety and compliance with our standard operating procedures.Maintain accurate inventory of warehoused goods.Assist, from time to time, with material handling, processing shipments, or loading/unloading.RequirementsMinimum of 5 years previous management or ocean freight/supply chain supervisory activities.Education: BA in Business, Accounting, Logistics, Ocean Freight, or Supply Chain Management.A general understanding or knowledge of either the manufacturing or transportation industry.Above-average math and logic skills.Ability to perform and solve problems professionally in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel and experience with: VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.Persistence.
